CHAMBER RECEIVES POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC UPDATE FROM U.S. AMBASSADOR TO MEXICO CARLOS PASCUAL. United States Ambassador to Mexico Carlos Pascual joined the Chamber and local business leaders for an economic and political briefing. Ambassador Pascual highlighted Mexico's record-high international reserves, as well as an increased competitiveness due to its desire to break through as one of the emerging economies. "One of the important things for both countries is to see how we can work together on security issues so that our economies can keep creating jobs … and so that security, and not insecurity defines our economic reality," said Pascual. Pictured above are, from left to right, L.A. Area Chamber Chair Matthew Toledo, Ambassador Carlos Pascual and Acting Consul General of Mexico Juan Carlos Mendoza.
