Transportation & Goods Movement

The council advocates on federal, state and local issues and champions positions that will provide system-wide, regional solutions. The council highlights the importance of transportation and goods movement to the region and nation’s economy, while encouraging balanced and sustainable communities.

Seleta Reynolds was appointed general manager of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation in July of 2014. She oversees a 1,800-employee city department that manages traffic signals, regulates taxis, issues parking citations and operates a bus system. Join us for our first Council meeting of the new year to learn more about Reynolds' vision for the Department and policy priorities for 2015.

Members will also receive an update from Los Angeles World Airports regarding LAX's Transportation Program, including the proposed Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility, Automated People Mover system and connection to Metro's Crenshaw Line.
