Rep. Hahn and New LADOT GM Seleta Reynolds
Tuesday, Nov. 4
10 - 11:30 a.m.
The last reauthorization of the federal transportation bill called for the creation of a National Freight Network (NFN) to assist States in strategically directing resources toward improved movement of freight on highways. In July of 2014 Rep. Janice Hahn introduced the National Freight Network Trust Fund Act of 2014 which would provide funding for a NFN Grant Program. Join us to hear Rep. Hahn speak about the legislation and how it could help improve the competitiveness of L.A.'s two ports.
Members will also hear from the newly appointed general manager of the L.A. Department of Transportation (LADOT), Seleta Reynolds. As the new GM of LADOT, Reynolds will oversee transportation systems and programs for the city of Los Angeles, including the implementation of Great Streets for Los Angeles-LADOT's first strategic plan.
