Land Use, Construction & Housing

The Land Use, Construction & Housing Council advocates for policies and programs that create sustainable, economically robust communities through smart growth planning, public-private partnerships and investment in congestion relief solutions. This also includes a special focus on building more workforce housing, reforming the city’s planning and permitting process, strengthening our public transportation system and addressing L.A. County’s homelessness crisis.

Planning for the City with David Ambroz

Wednesday, July 29
**Please note, special date
10 - 11:30 a.m.

Please join us for a conversation with David Ambroz, Los Angeles City Planning Commission president. With a city spread out over 500 square miles and one of the largest populations in the country, planning and zoning decisions play an important part in the daily lives of Angelenos, with many of those decisions being made in the City Planning Commission. Ambroz will share his thoughts on major issues the city is tackling from density to transportation, the California Environmental Quality Act to community plans and how the City Planning Commission is addressing them.

Chamber staff will also share an update on issues pending before the City.
