Shaping the Future of California's Health Care System
Friday, Feb. 6
10 - 11:30 a.m.
As two of California's most influential health care leaders, this month's Health Care Council speakers have played an integral part in shaping California's health care system. For the past 30 years, Mr. C. Duane Dauner has served as president of the California Hospital Association and represents more than 400 hospitals and health care systems on every level of government. Similarly, Mr. Herb Schultz, current president and CEO of the Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center, represented more that 50 million people across four states and the Pacific as the previous regional director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region IX. Schultz also served as senior advisor to former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and served in the Cabinet of former Gov. Gray Davis as the head of California's Labor and Workforce Development Agency.
Join us for a discussion on the future of health care in California and across the nation, as our speakers share their insights into successful advocacy concerning this year's prevalent health care issues. We also welcome your input as we finalize our advocacy agenda for the Chamber's annual advocacy trip to Washington, D.C.:ACCESS Washington, D.C.: Los Angeles on the Hill(March 16-18, 2015).
