2015 Priorities for the Assembly Committee on Health
Friday, Nov. 7
10 - 11:30 a.m.
Last month we closed the door on the 2014 legislative session where we saw everything from proposals to help businesses implement the ACA, to attempts to add layers of bureaucracy to the work of non-profit hospitals. The Assembly Committee on Health played a pivotal role during this time, with jurisdiction over health care, health insurance, Medi-Cal and other public health care programs, mental health licensing of health and health-related professionals, and long term health care facilities.
Join us to hear from Assemblyman Sebastian Ridley-Thomas who will share his view from inside the Assembly Committee on Health, review the committee's work over the past legislative session and discuss health care-related legislation that we will likely see in 2015.
Immediately following, we will review the Health Care council's advocacy work over the past year, and begin to set our agenda for 2015.
