Chamber supports compromise on single-use bag ban This week, the Chamber testified in opposition to a proposed outright ban on all single-use bags in Los Angeles and supported a compromise that would ban plastic bags, but make paper bags available to customers for a small charge. As a significant policy decision that will have major impact, the Chamber urged the L.A. City Council to develop a plan that fully takes into account the economics and feasibility of our businesses and residents. The proposed ban will be heard in the Council's Energy & Environment Committee on Friday. Contact Jessica Duboff, 213.580.7558.
