On Wednesday, the Chamber testified at the Central Area Planning Commission, asking that Walmart's permits for its Chinatown location be upheld and that the appeal filed by the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance be denied. • Determining the future of digital billboards
The Chamber is a participating member of the City of L.A.'s Billboard and Visual Landscape Visioning Work Group, which will help determine the future of digital billboards in the City. The group, selected by the Department of Planning, will guide the direction and provisions of a possible program allowing digital billboards to locate outside of sign districts in exchange for a reduction of overall billboards and public benefits. Recommendations will be shared with the City's Planning, Land Use and Management Committee in March. Contact Tina Hossain, 213.580.7531.
