World Trade Week annually celebrates a month of world trade in May, and has been the largest trade-focused event in the L.A. region since 1926. The Chamber holds the annual World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast — attracting more than 600 executives, consul generals, elected officials and business leaders — to launch 30-plus trade events highlighting the importance of international trade and investment to our region.

The Chamber hosts intimate discussions with ambassadors, trade ministers, and high-level officials on trade issues and opportunities throughout the year.
These briefings connect local businesses with import/export representatives, trade consuls and diplomats, and provide exposure to new market opportunities.

The Chamber’s Diplomatic & Commercial Officers Group provides a venue for diplomat members of the consular corp. and foreign trade offices to develop their own international trade strategies and programs as they perform their professional responsibilities. More than 30 foreign trade diplomats participate as members.

Business Matchmaking & Trade Missions
The Chamber arranges one-on-one meetings between foreign executives and local companies, and supports trade missions of Southern California businesses around the world, such as Chile, South Korea, Hong Kong, Mexico, Brazil and others.
As an affiliate of the Chamber, the Los Angeles Regional Export Council (LARExC) encourages and assists businesses as they look to begin or increase trade activity.
Latin America Business Conference
This international forum, presented in partnership with UCLA Anderson School of Management and the UCLA Anderson Latin American Business Association, is designed to assist regional companies (small to medium enterprises) to understand some of the critical economic, social and financial issues, as well as opportunities facing the region. Speakers include respected public and private sector leaders from multiple industries in Latin America.
