Ultraglas, Inc.

Founded in 1987, UltraGlas, Inc., designs and manufacturers all facets of specialty architectural glass. Its custom creations can been seen in commercial, private, and public buildings across the U.S. and around the world.

UltraGlas produces thermally embossed, kiln-formed safety glass, a custom-designed product the company introduced to the U.S. on a production scale in 1988. The company pioneered the production of molded/slumped, designed glass products in the U.S. and has since brought it to the world. This dimensional, kiln-formed glass offers design professionals an expansive range of glass textures and designs, color options and configurations.

This technology, along with the company’s other glass fabrication competencies, including lamination, encapsulation, carving, frosting, bending, coloration, engineering and design, enables the delivery of a wide variety of artful, high performance and functional solutions to most architectural glass installations. Encapsulation, for example, allows inclusion of a variety of unexpected materials, minerals, colored glass, beads, shells, and dichroic film and more into the finished product.

UltraGlas has also pioneered a permanent coloration process in which color is high-fired onto the body of the glass itself and produces textured glass that is impervious to environmental elements. The company recently employed this technique to create 125,000 square feet of permanently colored, tempered and heat-soaked tested glass panels to clad the facade of Jaber Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital in Kuwait City. It’s the sixth largest hospital – and the largest molded glass installation – in the world.

The company holds a patent for UltraGlas-E, a sustainability-minded line of products made from 100 percent recycled glass diverted from landfill and transformed into decorative and functional products.

UltraGlas has been recognized for its innovative products and business success with two Crystal Achievement Awards from the NGA, ASID Industry Partner Hall of Fame designation, BD Magazine’s Best of Boutique Award and VICA Hall of Fame inductee.

UltraGlas Founder/President/CEO Jane Skeeter, LEED AP, holds to California Contractors Licenses, is a Certified Interior Designer, and awarded the NEWH 2016 Icon of Industry, NAWBO Leadership Award, NAWBO/ Wells Fargo National Trailblazer Award, and SFV Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year. She is a graduate of UCLA’s MDE program.
