Nonprofit Council

The Nonprofit Council provides nonprofit member organizations with a venue to network, exchange ideas, collaborate and discuss public policy issues impacting the nonprofit community.

Today, the nonprofit sector amounts to more than 11.4 million jobs in the United States—that’s 10 percent of private sector employment, with employment growing steadily even during the recession.

Council members benefit from:
  • Collaboration between nonprofit organizations and the L.A. business community
  • Increased voice in the Chamber advocacy agenda
  • Access to educational and developmental opportunities on topics related to nonprofit organizations
  • A platform to publicize volunteer opportunities and access to volunteers
  • Increased awareness within the L.A. business community

Applying to traditional grants is essential for any nonprofit, but are you ignoring other strategies that could help you win potential partners? Community outreach and involvement are important aspects to building a good reputation, and many corporations already have well-developed corporate social responsibility programs waiting for nonprofits like yours!

During this Nonprofit Council, join representatives from City National Bank, Wells Fargo and Bank of America Merrill Lynch to learn what they are funding, and the best approaches to securing a lucrative partnership. Discover how you can tailor your message to appeal to top corporations and secure a life-long commitment for your nonprofit, not just a one-time grant.
