L.A. Talent Challenge

Make a commitment to hire OR sponsor one (or more!) student interns this year!

This year, the Chamber has launched the L.A. Talent Challenge with a goal of getting 500 MORE companies to sponsor OR hire at least one intern this summer. Doing so allows the Chamber to place work-ready, certified high school or college students in industries of interest to them. In turn, companies have the opportunity to develop their future workforce, access workplace diversity and receive visibility in both the Chamber’s social media/outreach campaign and at related Chamber events.

But Don't take our word for it. Take theirs.

It is your choice – host or hire! But either way, you are stepping up to the challenge of strengthening Los Angeles’ future talent and bolstering the City’s economy.  The L.A. Talent Challenge benefits us all.

Recently, Chamber President & CEO, Gary Toebben, in his weekly blog, The Business Perspective, called on companies to join the L.A. Talent Challenge, noting, "Los Angeles has a tough, competitive labor market. We need employees who are the best and the brightest. As business leaders, we must be fully and directly engaged in developing the future workforce. Summer youth employment and internship opportunities are a much needed community resource that provides youth with a career enlightening experience. Each year, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, local leaders and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce ask you do the same for numerous L.A. area youth – be that person, be that company, be that opportunity."

Fund a student, and you fund a future.
