Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is leading a trade mission to South Korea from Sept. 12-16. Gov. Schwarzenegger will join the delegation from Sept. 14-16. The purpose of this trip is to showcase California goods and services, promote tourism and the expansion of trade between California and South Korea.

South Korea is California's 5th largest trading partner. It is one of the fastest growing economies in the world today. Its economy relies heavily on exports to prosper. The following are some of the sectors that the Korean market demands more products from: automotives, broadcasting, communication and computer technologies, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals/nutritional supplements, and environmental technology, education and training services. 

To promote and expand trade relations between South Korea and California, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Gov. Schwarzenegger, will be organizing a number of business opportunities throughout the trade mission so that California companies participating in the mission will be able to connect with key business and government decision makers. 

Executives and marketing/engineering managers for companies seeking to introduce their products and services into the South Korean market.

Business to Business Meetings – Up to three qualified and screened business appointments with potential customers in South Korea — utilizing the U.S. Department of Commerce, Commercial Service Gold Key Service**

Sector/ Country Briefing — A delegation briefing from the U.S. consulate commercial attaché on doing business in South Korea

Networking Receptions — Two receptions in which participating companies can invite VIPs and potential trading partners

Economic Briefings — Roundtable discussions and briefings on the economic opportunities that exist between California and South Korea

Trade Expo — Participants will have the opportunity to highlight products/services at the official California Trade expo in Seoul, South Korea
