economy. The group will be focused on job recovery for today’s workers while
preparing the future workforce. |
Energy, Water & Environmental Sustainability Council |
| Spurs clean and green tech innovations, ensure water and power delivery, and promote economic growth through sustainable, pro-jobs energy and environmental policies. |
Government & Fiscal Affairs Council |
| Serves
as the Chamber’s primary council to evaluate legislation and policies that
affect the broad business community and civic life including taxes, regulations
and government reforms. The group will meet monthly to monitor and act on
general business regulatory issues, and will focus on L.A. City public policy
issues. |
Health Care Council |
| Advocates
for policies that ensure responsible health care reform implementation,
strengthen our County’s health care safety net and promote healthier
lifestyles. |
Land Use, Construction & Housing Council |
| Promotes smart growth development and policies that reduce traffic congestion in our region. |
Transportation & Goods Movement Council |
The Transportation & Goods Movement Council addresses all issues related to our region’s mobility — highway, rail, air and transit.

Leadership L.A. |
| A
nine-month program for individuals with expanding leadership roles in their
organizations and communities. Participants gain in-depth knowledge of
challenges and opportunities shaping L.A. city and county, as well as hone
their leadership and relationship building skills. |
Leadership Southern California |
| A
10-month leadership program for those who hold active leadership roles of
regional significance in their civic and/or professional lives. LSC embodies
the values of regional stewardship, experiential learning and a deep exposure
to the people, places and trends shaping our region. Fellows travel to Los
Angeles, Orange, Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura counties; and
Sacramento. |
California Connections |
| Facilitates
statewide civic engagement and building of new relationships. Connect on a
statewide level and propel California in a positive direction through new and
innovative partnerships. |
Global Connections |
| A
series focused on developing cross-cultural relationships to advance social
inclusion, support diverse leaders and expand economic competitiveness.
Events are held throughout the year at various locations and are focused
on the estimated 30 ethnic enclaves located in Los Angeles area. |

Brings

Through this group, which meets six times a year, small business owners connect, build
