Taxes, Audits & Fiscal Reforms: Talking State Finances with Controller Betty Yee
 Since her first appearance at Accenture Pancakes & Politics in early 2015, California State Controller Betty Yee hasn’t shied away from taking on a number of high profile issues, including exploring comprehensive tax reform, uncovering wasteful spending in municipal governments and calling for major Board of Equalization (BOE) reform. The BOE collects a third of the state’s tax revenue and this issue has become a flashpoint in current state budget negotiations.
Controller Yee is currently serving her first term as California State Controller, the chief fiscal officer of the sixth largest economy in the world. Join us for a mid-year update on state finances and to hear how the Controller is using her office to impact fiscal policies.
