Join us as we hear from the Los Angeles World Airports (LAX) Director of Environmental and Land Use Planning Division Lisa Trifiletti as she provides an update on the Land Access Modernization Program (LAMP), a $5-billion project to transform the transportation system to LAX. The centerpiece of LAMP will be an automated people mover that will connect the central terminal area with a new consolidated rent-a-car facility, with stops in-between at new airport parking facilities and a station connecting to Metro's regional transit system. Anticipated for completion by 2023, the Board of Airport Commissioners is currently weighing the delivery method options for each element of the program.

We'll also be joined by Metro's Construction Relations division for an update on the Regional Connector Transit Project, specifically the impacts continued downtown construction will have on the business community and Metro's planned mitigations.

The Transportation & Goods Movement Council addresses all issues related to our region's mobility - highway, rail, air and transit. The Council advocates on federal, state and local issues and champions positions that will provide system-wide, regional solutions. The Council highlights the importance of transportation and goods movement to the region and nation's economy, while encouraging balanced and sustainable communities.

All Council meetings are open to Chamber members only. Media and guests are only allowed with prior approval.
