Noon - 1:30 p.m. Program
Attendance is free. Lunch is available for advance purchase online for $10.
L.A. Area Chamber 350 S. Bixel St. Los Angeles, CA 90017
To interpret the City's proposals for zoning and municipal code changes, it is critical to understand its efforts and philosophy of code enforcement. Join us to hear an overview of current code enforcement practices and challenges, as well as how the City can improve its efforts. We will also discuss issues that Hollywood property owners and businesses in particular face with code enforcement. The Council will also hear a presentation on the proposed Century City Center, a 37-story office building of one- and two-story creative office and retail space, including a Mobility Hub, which will encourage employees to utilize public and alternative transit options. It will be designed to be the first LEED Platinum high-rise office building in L.A. and represents a $350 million private investment with 6,000 new jobs expected during and after construction for our City.

The Land Use, Construction & Housing Council advocates for policies and programs that create sustainable, economically robust communities through smart growth planning, public-private partnerships and investment in congestion relief solutions. This also includes a special focus on building more workforce housing, reforming the city's planning and permitting process, strengthening our public transportation system and addressing L.A. County's homelessness crisis.
