Alma Salazar
Vice President of Education & Workforce Development Alma Salazar oversees the educational and workforce development programs and initiatives at the Chamber, including Cash For College, L.A. Youth at Work and Principal For a Day. Since 2000, Salazar has worked for UNITE-LA and the Chamber to build business and educational partnerships to improve academic achievement and life-long learning for Los Angeles students. Salazar graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in speech communications and a master's in public policy and administration. In college, Salazar served as associated student body vice president from 1994-1995. Traveling the world is what Salazar likes best, including to Amsterdam, Netherlands and Spain. |
