Our company is fighting with our own developed software against piracy for the single reason - it is destroying the ability to make decent movies with any choice of recouping the investments. We have a lot of customers we can help with our software and bringing money back to the companies just to save the jobs in the movie industry. copyright-defenders.com

The Protect IP act is long overdue. The meme out there is that this about the MPAA/RIAA versus the public. No, actually, this law will protect content creators across the board...the ones whose livelihoods are being decimated by piracy's impact. Educate yourself, go online and see what drives today's piracy. This isn't about "sharing" it's about theft and profit. With the click of a mouse pirates can steal content, post it an earn money in a number of ways (ads, cyber-locker incentives, subscription fees, etc.) Piracy has become a business and it's a business that depends on theft. The internet is NOT a sacred place. Content creators are adapting to a new world and a new marketplace. It's only right to ask that the law also adapts. Surely we can come together to craft legislation that will protect everyone's interests. The situation is untenable. Something must be done....soon or the consumer will lose out. The diversity and quality of content choices will be diminished and we will be left with choosing between big Hollywood blockbusters (sure box office/theatrical winners) and home-made youtube fair.

Protect IP is a terrible proposal that will limit free speech. It gives way too much power to IP interests at the expense of normal businesspeople. http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2011/05/protect-ip-act-coica-redux
