"A Good Start"! A Desperate Start is more accurate. Until there is real agreement and action to cut a bloated and ineffective political machine this is nothing for the citizens of Los Angeles. Salaries, benefits, pensions and size must be addressed. Instead of worrying about national political posturing this group of ineffective City elects needs to get real about where this City needs to be. Maybe they should start by reducing their numbers and removing themselves from the City's payroll and pension until they solve this issue.

This is only the beginning. Taxes will fall for several more years as property values fall and high sales taxes chase away retail sales. They have to reform salaries, benefits and pensions!
